  Skills USA is a Nation-wide organization that holds a wide variety of scholastic competitions for the high school and junior college level.  At the time of this competition, I just graduated from Rend Lake College, but was still competing for them.  I advanced to the National competition by getting first at the state level - February 2012.  During the National competition, I was competing against one person from each state.  It consisted of a multiple choice test, free-hand sketch of a wall section (footing - roof), and construction documents (Revit) with a maximum of 8 hours to complete.  I received a 3rd place medal along with free software.
